In brochure printing for business, there are five essential
perspectives that you must take into account when creating your designs
or choosing brochure templates. These five perspectives should
influence your layout of the brochure and its content as well. By
letting these perspectives influence the creative process you can
easily integrate major brochure goals within the brochure printing
design. In this guide, I will teach you about these perspectives and
how to apply them to your own brochure printing.
Reader's perspective – The first and perhaps the most important
perspective is the reader's perspective. You must always consider the
demographic aspect of your readers, and basically create your brochure
design and content with an eye for making it look great and
understandable to those people. Basically you must think, if the
readers will like your brochure, and also if they will find the
information in it useful. That is why this is an important perspective
to consider, since it might be the factor in getting your success or
failure with your brochures.
Campaign perspective – Another thing that you should take into account
when creating your brochure is the campaign perspective. This is
basically about the bigger picture of your business, where the brochure
is part of a major marketing campaign. In this aspect, your brochures
must always fit in with that bigger picture and it must perform its
role in such a way that other elements of the campaign are helped and
enhanced by the brochure. So in short terms, this is the perspective
where you must consider your brochure as a good supplement to other
campaigns that you may have going on.
Business perspective – Of course, for brochures, you must always take
note of the business perspective. This is about the main goal of the
brochure. Is the brochure the main tool in getting sales? Is it just
for public relations? Is it an information brochure? By defining the
specific business goal of the brochure you can satisfy the business
perspective of its design since you assure the proper functioning of
the brochure towards a good and perhaps profitable goal.
Content perspective – Next, you must also have a content perspective in
your design where you take into account the length of the brochure and
its design elements . You need to always make sure that the dimensions
are correct and that your content can be easily placed within the
brochure. Doing the content on the fly is not really recommended and it
may lead to worse brochure designs if you don't adjust and consider the
content's length for your design.
Printing perspective – Finally, your designs must also be influenced by
the printing perspective. For example, you must take into account the
glossy paper of printing as well as the inks that will be used for it.
Your design must be done with that in mind so that the color values
work well and correctly on screen and when it is printed.
So those are the five essential perspectives in business brochure
printing. Try to consider all these varying concerns well and you
should be able to receive well balanced brochures that can please you
and other people on multiple levels.
